- How will the money I raise be used?
The funds raised by participants in the Scotiabank Aquatics
for Arthritis events will fund vital arthritis research,
education, and services in British Columbia. To acknowledge
their partnership, SWIM BC will also receive a contribution
towards their swim club activities.
- How much money will I be asked to raise?
Each swimmer is asked to raise a minimum of $100 to help
us reach our $100,000 goal. There are
fantastic prizes available for those who exceed their
fundraising goal.
- Is there a registration fee?
For each individual swimmer or team, there is a $25 registration
fee. This will be applied to your fundraising goal.
- I’m new to fundraising. How do I get started?
A great place to start is with our fundraising
tips & tools page. You’ll find some great
ideas to bring out your inner fundraiser! The most important
thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!
- How do I collect my donations?
Donations can be collected in two ways. Donors can make
a contribution to you on-line by clicking on the Sponsor
a Participant/Team link. They’ll enter your name,
submit their donation, and a tax receipt will be e-mailed
to them.
You can also collect pledges and mail them to the Arthritis
Society. Please use our pledge
form and donation
tracking form to keep track of your contributions.

- Will my donors receive a tax receipt?
Yes, all donors who make a contribution of $10 or more will
receive a tax receipt from The Arthritis Society –
BC & Yukon Division.
- Do I have to be a serious swimmer to participate?
Scotiabank Aquatics for Arthritis is suited for all ages
and fitness levels! You can choose the event that is best
suited for you and your team.
- How do I register?
Registration is easy. Visit our registration page to get
started. Or, call 1.88.388.SWIM.
- How do I register my team?
To register your team, visit our registration page. As the
team captain, you’ll register yourself and the team.
Each of your team members will register individually, and
join the team.
